Have you ever wondered WHY you shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth? Who even came up with that?? We will delve into the greatest mysteries of the English vernacular. Prepare to discuss the silliest uses of figurative language as well as the history behind it dating back to Greek and Roman times. Similarly, we will talk about some of the most renowned metaphors in our favorite books, debunk rumors that have been misconstrued over centuries through word of mouth retellings, and reveal the true tales where these morals originated from. Office Hours
WITH JAMES GOLDBACH & GUESTS
A WMUA Podcast Production – Office Hours is a podcast aimed at providing first hand information from interviews with professors about what it’s like to work in their field of interest, how they chose their career through their own educational experience, and what their day to day life is like as a researcher or professor. Our goal is to provide a one-on-one quality conversation with experts in the field as a resource for undergrads who are curious about what professional academia is like, and who are interested in the nitty-gritty details of the cutting edge of science, humanities and more.
